Life Eternal is a free adventure game for PC that was made by an indie dev who goes by Ronove. It is a 2D isometric pixel art story that tells the tale of an awakened necromancer who seeks to revive his fallen lord and get revenge on those who sought to do them harm.

Similar to Backpack Hero or Potion Permit, Life Eternal emphasizes exploration and discovering its fantasy world to help convey its story to players. They will interact with various characters and find objects to help them find out the truth about what happened to their lord.

Reviving the fallen

Life Eternal is a story-driven adventure game that has you step into the shoes of a newly awakened necromancer to a now decrepit tower that he calls home. Unbeknownst to you, your lord was slain in a mysterious attack. Foreseeing this event, he left you with all the knowledge and training you needed to be able to revive him and get revenge on those who did you wrong.

The first order of business would be to collect the tools and learn the spell that you will need to succeed in your mission. Throughout your journey in Life Eternal, you will discover secrets and clues left behind by your master to help you piece together the mystery of what happened to him, all while helping you recover your own fragmented memories from your prolonged slumber.

Also, your actions and choices matter and will affect how the story unfolds as you play. In fact, there are two possible endings that you could arrive upon based on those factors. The only other thing worth mentioning here is that the gameplay is a bit short. Depending on your pacing, you're looking at under an hour max.

It offers an intriguing tale that is beautifully presented in pixel art style. Although the gameplay is a bit short, you can opt for another playthrough to unlock the second ending. Nevertheless, this game is highly recommended and worth a try.
